We believe in making our services accessible, and transparency in our services! Membership for dental professionals is always free – we focus our efforts on building the best user experience, and providing the platform with the greatest rewards and incentives… for free!
We confirm dentists’ registration with the appropriate provincial regulatory body, for example the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia.
You will determine this yourself for each placement through direct, confidential communication with the dental office.
You will get paid directly by the dental office. This is typically done through the office’s payroll system, or by cheque, following the completion of the placement. Please communicate directly with the dental office if you have any specific requirements regarding method of payment.
We offer gift cards in increments of $50. You may redeem a gift card as soon as you have accumulated $50 Worko $ or more in the Rewards section. Simply click Redeem and select the gift card that you would like! You will receive an e-gift card within a week – it’s that easy!
E-gift card options include: Sephora, Lululemon, Classpass, Fairmont Hotels, Amazon.ca , and Uber Eats.
Please use the Worko messaging system to contact the office directly, or phone the office at the number provided on their profile!
Worko fosters professional, reliable temps. Please be sure of your availability prior to committing to a placement. Cancellations may be processed more than 2 days in advance of a confirmed placement; cancellations after this time frame will still be processed, but you will be penalized $30 Worko Dollars and it may affect your eligibility for future placements.
If the office cancels a placement within 2 days of the placement date, the office will be penalized, and this will be credited directly to you in the form of $30 Worko Dollars to compensate for the inconvenience.
Absolutely! After you’ve completed a shift, there is an option to indicate that this placement resulted in a permanent position. Of course, keep in mind that placements must be booked through Worko to earn you rewards, and a permanent position may take away from that!
Worko is currently only operating in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. We are looking forward to making Worko accessible across all of Canada in the very near future!
Your account may be suspended if you have cancelled several placements on short-notice. If your account has been suspended, please contact info@worko.ca to speak with one of our administrators directly.
All users are responsible to be up-to-date with the most recent updates from their regulatory bodies, as well as provincial and federal recommendations and regulations regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. If you have any concerns that you would like to discuss directly with a dental office, please use our messaging feature
(which is available once a placement is booked) to discuss any specific requirements or expectations you may have ahead of a placement.

We do not have membership fees, we instead focus our efforts on building the best user experience, and charging only a small hourly fee for placements. We believe in making our services accessible, and transparency in our services!
Dental offices must provide credit card information to activate an account with Worko. Temps will submit their hours through Worko after completion of a placement, and you will receive this information to confirm. Once the hours are confirmed, your credit card will be charged at our hourly rate of $6 per hour + tax. An invoice will be available in the ‘Work History’ section for each placement.
The free placement will be applied to your account automatically when you book an 11th placement!
You can create a posting that dental professionals can see, however in short-notice situations you may find it more useful to use our Search feature to find available dental temps. Our prompt messaging system will automatically forward your messages and requests to the dental professional via email or text so that they can be notified right away, resulting in quicker response times and faster placements when you need them the most.
We discourage temps to cancel short-notice out of respect for dental offices, and it is equally important for dental offices to respect their temps. Please be sure of your needs prior to committing to a placement. Cancellations may be processed more than 2 days in advance of a confirmed placement; cancellations after this time will be charged $30, which will be credited directly to the dental professional.
Worko strives to maintain a database of reliable, committed professionals. Short-notice cancellations are not tolerated.
We have strict penalties for temps who choose to cancel on short-notice which may include removing them from our database for repeated short-notice cancellations. They will also incur Worko Rewards penalties.
The job posting will automatically renew and become active again – you don’t have to post the job posting again! The job will become active right away and be visible to other dental professionals.
If a temp does not show up for a confirmed placement, your account will not be charged. Worko staff will conduct an inquiry and determine appropriate remedial actions and/or penalties. We encourage you to use our Search feature to find temps available to fill short-notice placements. Within this time frame, our prompt messaging system will automatically forward your requests and messages to the dental professional via email or text so that they can be notified right away.
Absolutely! We value your loyalty and are pleased to share our talented professionals with you. A one-time fee of $600 is charged for this type of placement. Dental professionals can indicate these types of placements to us, but we ultimately rely on you to let us know if you hire our temps permanently.
