Book dental professionals for only $6 / hour, with no flat fees! We understand that sometimes you need to fill a shorter shift – no problem! You will only pay for the hours that the dental professional works – no more, no less.

Dental professionals are rewarded $1 in Worko Dollars for every hour worked – you can redeem your rewards for a variety of perks, or simply request a Visa e-gift card! After you complete each placement, your Worko $ will automatically be added to your account – it doesn’t get any easier!

Is there a membership fee?

We believe in making our services accessible, and transparency in our services! Membership for dental professionals is always free – we focus our efforts on building the best user experience, and providing the platform with the greatest rewards and incentives… for free!

How does Worko verify dental offices?

We confirm dentists’ registration with the appropriate provincial regulatory body, for example the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia

How much can I get paid?

You will determine this yourself for each placement through direct, confidential communication with the dental office.

How do I get paid?

You will get paid directly by the dental office. This is typically done through the office’s payroll system, or by cheque, following the completion of the placement. Please communicate directly with the dental office if you have any specific requirements regarding method of payment.

How do I redeem my Worko $ ?

We offer gift cards in increments of $50. You may redeem a gift card as soon as you have accumulated $50 Worko $ or more in the ‘Rewards’ section. Simply click
“Redeem” and select the gift card that you would like! You will receive an e-gift card
within a week – it’s that easy!

What happens if I’m running late for a shift

Please use the Worko messaging system to contact the office directly, or phone the office at the number provided on their profile!

What happens if I need to cancel a placement on short notice?

Worko fosters professional, reliable temps. Please be sure of your availability prior to committing to a placement. Cancellations may be processed more than 3 days in advance of a confirmed placement; cancellations after this time frame will still be processed, but are subject to a penalty, and may affect your eligibility for future placements.

What happens if an office cancels my placement on short notice?

If the office cancels a placement within 3 days of the placement date, the office will be penalized, and this will be credited directly to you in the form of Worko $ to compensate for the inconvenience.

Can I accept a permanent position at an office that I liked?

Absolutely! After you’ve completed a shift, there is an option to indicate that this placement resulted in a permanent position. Of course, keep in mind that accepting permanent positions means that you won’t be able to earn Worko $ moving forward!

Is Worko available across all provinces?

Worko is currently only operating in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. We are looking forward to making Worko accessible across all of Canada in the very near future!

My account has been suspended, why? What should I do?

Your account may be suspended if you have cancelled several placements on short-notice. If your account has been suspended, please contact info@worko.ca to speak with one of our administrators directly

How do you verify dental professionals?

We confirm each user’s registration with the appropriate provincial regulatory body, for example the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia and the College of Dental Hygienists of British Columbia.

We do not have membership fees, we instead focus our efforts on building the best user experience, and charging only a small hourly fee for placements. We believe in making our services accessible, and transparency in our services!

How do I pay Worko?

Dental offices must provide credit card information to activate an account with Worko. Temps will submit their hours through Worko after completion of a placement, and you will receive this information to confirm. Once the hours are confirmed, your credit card will be charged at our hourly rate of $6 per hour + tax. An invoice will be available in the ‘Dashboard’ section for each placement

How do I redeem my free placement after I have booked 10 placements?

The free placement will be applied to your account automatically when you book an 11th placement!

What happens if I’m looking to fill a position on short notice?

You can create a posting that dental professionals can see, however in short-notice situations you may find it more useful to use our Search feature to find available dental temps. Our prompt messaging system will automatically forward your messages and requests to the dental professional via email or text so that they can be notified right away, resulting in quicker response times and faster placements when you need them the most.

What happens if I need to cancel a placement on short notice?

We discourage temps to cancel short-notice out of respect for dental offices, and it is equally important for dental offices to respect their temps. Please be sure of your needs prior to committing to a placement. Cancellations may be processed more than 3 days in advance of a confirmed placement; cancellations after this time frame are subject to a penalty fee, which will be credited directly to the dental professional.

What happens if a temp cancels on short-notice?

Worko strives to maintain a database of reliable, committed professionals. Short-notice cancellations are not tolerated. We have strict penalties for temps who choose to cancel on short-notice, which may include removing them from our database for repeated short-notice cancellations.

What happens to a job posting when the temp cancels?

The job posting will automatically renew and become active again – you don’t have to post the job offer again! The job will become active right away and be visible to other dental professionals.

What if a temp no-shows?

If a temp does not show up for a confirmed placement, your account will not be charged. Worko staff will conduct an inquiry and determine appropriate remedial actions and/or penalties. We encourage you to use our Search feature to find temps available to fill short-notice placements. Within this time frame, our prompt messaging system will automatically forward your requests and messages to the dental professional via email or text so that they can be notified right away.

Can I hire a temp for a permanent position?

Absolutely! We value your loyalty and are pleased to share our talented professionals with you. A one-time fee of $2000 is charged for this type of placement. Dental professionals can indicate these types of placements to us, but we ultimately rely on you to let us know if you hire our temps permanently.
