FOR DENTAL PROFESSIONALS
Worko Features, Regulations, and Recommendations
- You are rewarded $1 for every hour worked. This amount is banked in the ‘Rewards’ section of your account. You will receive Worko $ based on hours worked. Worko $ are only redeemable in $50 increments
- You will receive 6 Worko $ for each friend you refer! This applies only to new accounts – 6 Worko $ will be credited to your account once your referral has completed their first placement.
- Worko $ can only be awarded to placements booked using the Worko platform. If you accept a permanent position or choose not to schedule placements through the platform, you will not be eligible to receive Worko $
- Please be mindful of your availability prior to committing to a placement. Cancellations may be processed more than 3 days in advance – cancellations after this time are subject to a penalty, which may include temporary suspension from the Worko platform and/or penalties I the form of Worko $. Worko strives to offer quality in our placements – we reserve the right to permanently suspend accounts due to short-notice cancellations
- You will be prompted to confirm your hours as soon as a placement has ended. The hours you claim are submitted directly to the office for approval, and will help you get paid promptly
- According to Employment laws, in cases where a placement is booked and the temp has arrived for their shift, the employer must pay a minimum of 2 hour for scheduled shifts up to 8 hours, and a minimum of 4 hours for shifts over 8 hours.
- We encourage you to add your SIN and DOB information to your profile to make it easier for offices to pay you.
- You are responsible to let Worko know if a placement leads to a permanent position. This can be indicated in the ‘Work History’ section
- We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the FAQ section of our website for more information.
Professional Conduct
- You are responsible to dress appropriately for the clinical environment.
- Please review office information and details before your shift, including the ‘Temp Information Form’ if available.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your placement start time in order to allow time to set up and get accustomed to the office environment. This time is billable.
- For your safety and professionalism, please do not give out your personal contact , including phone number and email. Worko provides a secure messaging system so that you may maintain your privacy and professionalism.
- You are responsible for communicating with the dental offices regarding wage payment and T4 slips. Worko is not liable for any unpaid wages. You can keep track of all of this information under the ‘Work History’ section of your account.
- You are asked to make proper use of your billable time as you would in any workplace.
- For new graduates, Worko suggests contacting your professional association for guidance on the most up-to-date wage expectations for your profession
FOR DENTAL OFFICES
Worko Features, Regulations, and Recommendations
- Your first placement is FREE! Additionally, you will automatically earn a free placement after every 10 placements completed
- Worko staff manually verify that each registered user is licensed with their given Regulatory Body.
- Offices must have a valid credit card on file to make placement bookings.Bookings cannot be completed without a valid credit card on file. Please make sure that your credit card information is updated and current
- We process your credit card information and payments through Stripe Canada. Your credit card information is encrypted using bank-level security, meaning that even our site administrators never have access to your information.
- Placements must be a minimum of 4 hours in length.
- Each temp is prompted to confirm their hours as soon as a placement has ended. You will be asked to confirm this as soon as possible. Please do so immediately after the completion of a placement.
- Once the hours have been confirmed, your account will be charged the placement fee accordingly. Provincial taxes are added to all placement fees once the placement is complete.
- Placements are billed on a full hour basis. For example, for a placement of 4 hours and 40 mins, you will be billed for 5 hours, plus applicable taxes. Please note that the fee for placement is per hour worked, not per hour booked
- For placement requests within 48 hours of the placement’s start time, the temp will be notified directly by email or text message. Any responses will also be communicated to you in an expedited manner to facilitate the communication process and promote short-notice placements
- Cancellations may be processed more than 3 days in advance of a confirmed placement; cancellations after this time frame are subject to a $30 penalty, which will be credited directly to the temp. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts with frequent short-notice cancellations.
- Please note that we also discourage temps from canceling placements less than 3 days in advance. Temps who frequently cancel on short-notice may be suspended or removed from our database.
- If a temp does not show up for a confirmed placement, your account will not be charged. Worko staff will conduct an inquiry and determine appropriate remedial actions and/or penalties
- According to Employment laws, in cases where placement is booked and the temp has arrived for their shift, the employer must pay a minimum of 2 hours for scheduled shifts up to 8 hours, and a minimum of 4 hours for shifts over 8 hours.
- Please ensure that your profile is up-to-date.
- Offices are encouraged to upload a “Temp Information Form” to your profile. This form serves to provide information and expectations which are specific to your office. The ability for temps to access this information in advance of a placement is a huge benefit for both parties
- We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the FAQ section of our website for more information.
Professional Conduct
- Offices are asked to communicate with temps exclusively through the Worko messaging system. Please do not ask temps for personal contact information, such as phone number or email.
- Temps are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their placement start time in order to prepare for their day. This time is billable.
- Offices are responsible for paying temps on a timely basis. Offices are encouraged to deduct taxes, and are responsible for all T4 slips to be provided to at year-end. Worko is not liable for any unpaid wages
- A one-time fee of $600 is charged for any permanent placement. We value your loyalty and we would like to share our talented professionals with you. We rely on you to let us know if you hire our temps permanently. Acceptance of permanent and/or temporary staff referrals from Worko constitutes an agreement with our fees, policies and procedures.

Worko (“Worko”, “we”, “us” or “our”) values your rights. We have designed our Terms & Conditions to benefit your use of our website, its subdomains and our services which are owned and operated by Worko Staffing Corp
(“Worko”).
These Terms & Conditions apply to anyone accessing our services. By using our services, our platform and our website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not access our website or services.

- Our company is legally registered in Canada (Registration No. 705638880BC0001) and we also hold a valid B.C. Employment Agency License.
- By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy, which is expressly incorporated herein. Before using our services, please carefully review our Privacy Policy. All personal information provided to us as a result of your use of our services will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- We currently have no plans to add external advertisement to our website.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your usage to this website. Worko is not liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete personal information to Worko and to update your personal information as necessary. You must provide your legal full name, a valid email address, and any other information requested in order to complete the signup process
- The unauthorized use of any company logos, advertisements, web addresses, contact information, or photos is prohibited.
- You are responsible for all content posted and activity occurring under your identity.
- You may not use the platform for any illegal purposes or to violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
- You may seek to remove content posted on our website by contacting us at info@worko.ca. We take such requests seriously, and will proceed to remove the content and users that we determine should be removed, in our sole discretion and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and applicable laws. However, by providing a mechanism for the submission of complaints, we do not guarantee that we will take any action in response to such complaints. Please be aware that Worko is not responsible for instances where the content in question has already been distributed to other websites or published in other media prior to being removed on our platform by administrators. Residual copies of the content we remove from this website may remain on back-up servers.
- We will review requests to delete personal information and aim to process requests within 30 days. Please be aware that if the personal information has already been distributed to other websites or published in other media, or provided analytics, we will not be able to recapture and delete it. - Worko reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason, at any time.

- You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the platform or services without the express written permission by Worko.
- Verbal, physical, written or other abuse (including threats of abuse) of any user or Worko adminstrator will result in immediate action by the company.
- You understand that the technical processing and transmission of our services, including your personal content as a user, may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform to and adapt to technical requirements.
- You expressly understand and agree that Worko shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if Worko has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (i) the use or the inability to use the service; (ii) the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services resulting from any goods, data, information or services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through or from the service; (iii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; (iv) statements or conduct of any third-party related to the service; (v) or any other matter relating to the service.

Because we have no control over third-party websites, we are not responsible for the availability of those websites and do not endorse and are not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, services, products, or other materials on or available from such websites. Worko shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any content, advertising, services, products, or other materials on or available from such websites. - Any new features that augment or enhance the current platform, including the release of new tools and resources, shall be subject to the Terms & Conditions. Continued use of the platform after any such changes shall constitute your consent.
- Worko reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any part of the platform with or without notice.

4. Intellectual Property Rights
Other than the content that you own, under these Terms & Conditions, Worko owns all of the intellectual property rights and materials contained within the platform and website. You are granted limited license only for the purposes of viewing the material contained on the Worko platform and website.
5. Restrictions
. You are specifically restricted from the following
- publishing any Worko material in any other media;
- selling, sublicensing and/or otherwise commercializing any Worko material
- using the platform in any way that is or may be damaging to the platform;
- using the platform in any way that impacts user access;
- using the platform contrary to applicable laws and regulations
- using the platform in any way that may cause harm to any person or business entity;
- engaging in any data mining, data harvesting, data extracting or any other similar activity in relation to the platform;
- using the platform to engage in any advertising or marketing.
• Any user log-in information and associated password used to access the platform are confidential. It is the user’s responsibility to maintain confidentiality regarding their log-in credentials.
6. Your Content
In these Terms & Conditions, “Your Content” means any information, audio, video, images or other material you choose to display on the platform. By displaying Your Content, you grant Worko a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate and distribute Your Content in any and all media. Your Content must be your own and must not be invading any third-party’s rights. Worko reserves the right to remove any of Your Content from the platform at any time and without notice.
7. Trademarks
The Worko names and logos (including, without limitation, those of its affiliates), all product and service names, all graphics, all button icons, and all trademarks, service marks and logos appearing within this website and platform, unless otherwise noted, are trademarks (whether registered or not) and/or service marks of Worko and/or its affiliates (the “Worko Marks”). All other trademarks, product names, company names, logos, and/or service marks mentioned, displayed, cited or otherwise indicated within this website are the property of their respective owners. You are not authorized to display or use the Worko Marks in any manner without prior written permission from Worko. You are not authorized to display or use trademarks, product names, company names, logos, service marks and/or trade dress of other owners featured within this website without the prior written permission of such owners. The use or misuse of the Worko Marks or other trademarks, product names, company names, logos, and/or service marks or any other materials contained herein, except as permitted herein, is expressly prohibited.

The Worko platform is provided “as is,” and Worko expresses no representations or warranties, of any kind related to the platform or the materials contained on the platform and website.
9. Limitation of liability
Worko (including its officers, directors and employees) shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential or special liability arising out of, or in any way related to, your use of the platform and website.
10. Indemnification
You hereby indemnify Worko to the fullest extent from and against any and/or all liabilities, costs, demands, causes of action, damages and expenses arising from your breach of any of the provisions of these Terms & Conditions
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid under any applicable law, such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein.
12. Obligations
In consideration of your use of the platform and website, you agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete personal information to Worko, and that you will update this information as necessary. You also agree to use images of yourself that you are authorized to use for your profile picture. The use of company logos, advertisements, web addresses, contact information, pictures of celebrities or the unauthorized use of images

Worko reserves the right to assign, transfer, and subcontract its rights and/or obligations under these Terms & Conditions without any notification. Users are not allowed to assign, transfer, or subcontract any of their rights and/or obligations under these Terms & Conditons
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Worko, as well as in relation to your use of the platform and webiste, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed under the laws of Canada. All actions or proceedings arising out of or relating to these Terms & Conditions will be venued exclusively in Provincial or Federal court in Canada. You hereby irrevocably consent and submit to the personal jurisdiction of said courts for all such purposes. However, we retain the right to bring legal proceedings in any jurisdiction where we believe that infringement of these Terms & Conditions is taking place or originating.
16. Modification, Discontinuation, and Termination
Worko reserves the right to modify, edit, delete, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently this website (or any portion thereof) and/or the information, materials and services available through this website (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. You agree that we shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any such modification, editing, deletion, suspension or discontinuance of the platform and website. You also agree that Worko reserves the right to terminate your use of this website for any reason, and at any
time. You agree that any termination of your access to the platform and website under any provision of these
Terms & Conditions may be effected without prior notice, and acknowledge and agree that Worko may
immediately deactivate or delete any information related to you on the platform. Furthermore, you agree that
Worko shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to the platform and
website.
17. Changes to the Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions are current as of the effective date stated above. Worko reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions from time to time, consistent with applicable laws and principles. These changes will be effective as of the date that the revised Terms & Conditions are posted to the website. Your continued use of the platform and website after we have revised the Terms & Conditions constitutes your agreement to be bound by the revised Terms & Conditions. If at any time you choose not to accept these Terms & Conditions, please discontinue your use of our platform and website.
